So I am about to start high alching my way to 99 and I need an item that makes me a profit, including buying the nature runes. I've been to several high alch calculator websites and all the items that make profit are not selling on GE.

I can't find a single one that sells at all. Or is the item just really not popular to sell?

Alching is definitely not worth it. Slayer is the way to go for magic exp. So what should I be doing? I've been killing Ogres from , but they make 0 profit, so I want to make my time more efficient. Divine storm has a higher base damage than air wave - which was the highest-level air spell I had at the time.

Plus, the profit from potato cacti pays for your air runes and then some. Divine storm has a lower damage then Air Wave, you Would have air wave unlocked as its 62 magic req. Never really checked that.

I don't think that the wiki is right on this, because I find it hard to believe that Jagex would make Divine Storm require going in deep wildy and doing mage training so that you could unlock a better spell two levels later. A spell that only costs air runes, use that with an air staff, no costs.

That is, unless they have changed the air spells since I last looked, don't do much magicking. I don't think you visited a high alch calculator because I just tested items I normally high alch for profit that are common and they all bought instantly. Lemme just leave this here. Seriously, even at a low level you've got way better options than alching , although you should double check current prices since this post's a bit old.

Do combat, it's cheaper and a lot faster. You could try ogres great magic xp or giant rock crabs drop a good amount of charms. At your level there won't be too many things that provide good money. Focus on exp for now, on later levels you make much more money so it's the best that you just get it faster rather than taking slow exp rates to make a little money. I'd say train it with slayer and go gargoyles if you have 75 slayer. And if my slayer is only in the twenties?
