Before I took it apart again I noticed alot of play in the rear of the firearm. I figured out the barrel band was smashing the barrel down causing the rear to lift out of the stock, in turn letting lower pins fall out of the trigger assembly! By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.

This is a slick stock! I knew I would have to modify to fit the take-down model. Went on YouTube for video and it all worked out. I did need to slightly sand inside and on edge of magazine opening, and a bit of dremel work for the take-down mechanism, but no problem Elected to go with the OEM Ruger forestock vice "machining" the portion of the takedown I had to cut off.

I also decided to "pin" the receiver at the rear of the stock I have had no problems with wobble or with swinging the collapsible stock either way. Have a scope, green laser, and red dot all on a Ruger see-through riser, and additionally put on an extended magazine release lever that does not conflict with the stock. I did knock it down a star because of rough molding in the grip area which resulted in a raised lip of plastic that ran lengthwise down the grip both in the front and back.

Installation was easy, just a quck swap out with one screw. Upon inspecting for fit and finish; the fit is tight to the barrel and action but the molding process of the handgrip left a ridge which will need to be sanded down.

The only other issue is the tightness of the folding part of the stock. The folder has play in it which looks like a weak spring on the take-down pin for folding this is where you find the play in the stock. It wobbles up and down when you shoulder the rifle. This can have a bad effect on accuracy. Deefinitely can use some inprovement in this area.

I'll find a stronger spring soon so maybe that will address the play issue. Overall an ok setup but it does have its shortcomings listed above; I thought Butler Creek would have this system more developed by now. Were these reviews helpful?
