Use the tourney rewards, collect 10k, and buy a dyeshop from every guildmaster. Last edited by Weizen ; 30 Jun, Originally posted by Weizen Originally posted by avann Tournaments - Ask where they current ones are in the arena.

Trading - Assess prices in a market for hints. Raiding - Pillage and burn villages when you're at war. You can earn quite a lot from each village. I dont recommend this, it makes the people hate you, but if you need money Battles - Fighting Sea Raiders on the coast between the Nords and Vaegirs near Rivacheg I think is a great way to get loot.

Don't take out their hideout though. I've seen a few Masterwork weapons drop, as well as a ton of their armour, which sells for a few hundred. Also selling slaves is decent money for higher end troops. Miiiiiiiiiiiiike View Profile View Posts.

But, basically, become vassal and over time you will get fiefs which give you a weekly income. You do afterall have to keep stocked on food, so might as well buy other stuff and make a quick denar or two. Buying enerprises in other factions land doesn't make it useless. If they are hostile towards you for a bit, you just wont get any moeny from that enterprise. It doesn't actually cost you money as such when it is in an enemy controlled town.

And over time a peace deal is made so your enterprise can work well for 6 weeks or so. Increasing Leadership skill reduces wages. If you manage to get your village, Eber to Rich status it will bring in about denar a week. GoaFan77 View Profile View Posts.

You basically need your own city to make much off of your fiefs. During one two week period I got k in tarrif revenue from my city of Halmar. That was by far the largest I ever got since tarrifs are dependent on caravan traffic, but you can usually count on k minimum from a city that hasn't been constantly sieged. If you do manage to protect your village until it gets rich you might get 1. Though the diplomacy mod has a nice option to trade fiefs with lords, so you can try to get one near your activities so you are on hand to protect it.

Also, a watchtower upgrade makes it take longer to raid, so you have more time to respond to an enemy attack. That said, by far most of my money comes from good old prisoners and gear. Once your army gets good enough to beat most lords 1v1, you'll be so active in military campaigns money will never be a problem again.

A nice large battle can get me k in loot, and in some wars you'll fight many if not quite that profitable in a very short time period. Babyburger View Profile View Posts. I was in the same boat as OP up till this morning. I started rebelling in the name of a claimant and took over some castles for her.

Then I took over a town and I suddenly gained almost 20k from that town alone during payment time. I was really surprised to see such a high figure. For some reason, next two times I got paid, I was only paid 4k.

I have no idea how it got as high as 20k initially.

It helps quite a lot, though it doesn't seem to work on units that I put in garrison. So I guess it's more economical to hand out castles to lords, so they'd protect in under their own costs, while gaining relation with those lords. My fiefs pretty much only keep costs down to about 2k in losses, then I'm almost always at war and my cities are filled with lords, it not only weakens the other faction because they have less lords on the fields but you earn a decent amount of money from ransoms.

I would add that you should evaluate how many troops you really need on hand. If a troop is not fighting or dying, it is costing you money. And if you are going to raid villages, target the same ones throughout the game.

Mindlessly raiding will make recruiting difficult later on. Last edited by Peaceful Panda ; 1 Jul, 4: Sohei View Profile View Posts. Start with whichever productive enterprises have the best return on investment in each town. Once you have every town filled you can start upgrading some to more dyeworks or whatever else has the highest total income.

First best ROI everywhere, then max income.

You get most of your money back when you close down an enterprise so switching is not that painful. So, you will see more benefit earlier by focusing on ROI and this will provide more seed money for more investments.

With ROI focused investments in each town you will still make well over denars a week in profit which is enough to pay wages for a large army of elites and still have some spending money.
